Introduction: Examining the impact of appropriate sleep evaluation on diagnosis of attention deficit disorders can improve the standard of care in pediatrics. This quality improvement project examined current practice and subsequent implementation of a validated standardized sleep evaluation tool in the assessment of children with symptoms of attention deficit.
Methods: Retrospective chart review and implementation of the Children's Sleep Habits Questionnaire (CSHQ) for children 6 to 14years old with attention deficit symptoms.
Measures: Rates of sleep screening, sleep referrals, diagnosis of sleep and attention deficit disorders, Vanderbilt scores, CSHQ scores.
Results: In the retrospective group (n = 41), 76% of patients had attention deficit disorder/attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, 19.5% had sleeping disorders. There were significant provider differences in diagnosing sleep problems (p = .007). In the intervention group (n = 5), 60% had abnormal CSHQ scores.
Discussion: There was considerable incidence of sleeping problems in children with symptoms of attention deficit and provider variation in sleep evaluation and diagnosis, with minimal referral to specialist care. Our findings support a more comprehensive and standardized evaluation of sleep when assessing for attention deficit disorders to improve appropriate referrals, diagnosis, and treatment in pediatrics.

Introduction: Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition often associated with comorbidities that may impact cognitive function. This study aims to determine if psoriasis is associated with the risk of cognitive impairment and to assess the relationship between cognitive impairment and various disease-related factors, including psoriasis severity, disease duration, and the presence of psoriatic arthropathy, using the Virtual Cognitive Assessment Tool (VCAT).
Materials And Methods: A total of 160 individuals were selected, comprising 80 psoriasis patients and 80 controls, matched for age, gender, ethnicity, marital status, education levels, and prevalence of comorbidities.

Objectives: This study examined the neurocognitive profiles of early adulthood attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) patients using the Korean version of the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale, 4th Edition (K-WAIS-IV) and Continuous Performance Test 3rd Edition (CPT-3) assessment results.
Methods: A total of 105 individuals underwent the K-WAIS-IV assessment, and 68 participants completed the CPT-3. We examined the differences between intelligence subindex scores using paired t-tests and applied Pearson's correlation analysis to determine the correlation between the K-WAIS-IV and CPT-3 scores.
