This study addresses the challenge of achieving a more rational allocation of medical resources at the regional level, using Guangxi Province, China, as a case study. A three-stage super-efficiency Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) model is employed to assess and analyze the effectiveness of resource allocation. The research methodology involves identifying input, output, and environmental variable indicators to construct a healthcare resource allocation index system.

Objective: The immunisation programme in Zambia remains one of the most effective public health programmes. Its financial sustainability is, however, uncertain. Using administrative data on immunisation coverage rate, vaccine utilisation, the number of health facilities and human resources, expenditure on health promotion, and the provision of outreach services from 24 districts, we used Data Envelopment Analysis to determine the level of technical efficiency in the provision of immunisation services.

Objective: This article aimed to evaluate the efficiency trends and influencing factors of essential public health services in Hainan Province after the healthcare reform launched in 2009 in China.
Methods: The efficiency of essential public health services (EPHS) at primary health institutions was assessed using data envelopment analysis (DEA), and the efficiency change was analyzed by employing the Malmquist productivity index (MPI). We used Tobit regression to identify the influence of environmental factors on the efficiency of public health services.
