Market integration and resident health in China.

Sci Rep

January 2025

Institute of Agricultural Economics and Development, Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Nanjing, 210014, China.

This paper uses data from the China Health and Nutrition Survey (CHNS) to study the impact of market integration on residents' health. The empirical results based on the probit model show that market integration has a significant dampening effect on resident incidence. For every one-unit increase in the degree of market integration, the probability of residents becoming sick decreases by approximately 1.

Introduction: This study evaluated the prevalence and incidence of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in Germany and explored real-world data on sequence of therapy (SOT; sequence of drugs as prescribed in clinical practice).

Methods: This retrospective, observational, longitudinal cohort study using German claims data from the WIG2 GmbH Scientific Institute for Health Economics and Health System Research database (January 2011-December 2019), extrapolated to the statutory health insurance (SHI)-insured population, evaluated prevalence and incidence in an epidemiological analysis group and SLE treatment patterns in an incident cohort (subgroup ≥ 18 years of age with incident disease and ≥ 24-month follow-up post index date). Analyses were descriptive.

Aneurysm modeling and simulation play an important role in many specialist areas in the field of medicine such as surgical education and training, clinical diagnosis and prediction, and treatment planning. Despite the considerable effort invested in developing computational fluid dynamics so far, visual simulation of blood flow dynamics in aneurysms, especially the under-explored aspect of bifurcation aneurysms, remains a challenging issue. To alleviate the situation, this study introduces a novel Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH)-based method to model and visually simulate blood flow, bifurcation progression, and fluid-structure interaction.
