Aimed at space-based passive detection and tracking of ballistic targets, a multi-target multi-Bernoulli (MeMber) filtering algorithm based on a focal plane ambiguous measurement model is proposed. The measurement error sources of space-based passive detection are analyzed. It is found that focal plane target tracking is the basis of space target tracking in the framework of the distributed data processing structure, and the main error of focal plane measurement is pixel resolution. Based on the above analysis, the focal plane ambiguous measurement model is established to replace the traditional measurement model and the generalized likelihood function is designed. Finally, the MeMber filter is modified based on ambiguous measurement and generalized likelihood function. The simulation experiment compares the tracking effect of a MeMber filter based on ambiguous measurement and traditional measurement, respectively. The filter based on ambiguous measurement achieves better results. It shows that ambiguous measurement is closer to reality and has more application value.

Correct classification of type 1 (T1D) and type 2 diabetes (T2D) is challenging due to overlapping clinical features and the increasingly early onset of T2D, particularly in South Asians. Polygenic risk scores (PRSs) for T1D and T2D have been shown to work relatively well in South Asians, despite being derived from largely European-ancestry samples. Here we used PRSs to investigate the rate of potential misclassification of diabetes amongst British Bangladeshis and Pakistanis.

Purpose: This research presents an experimental study using validated questionnaires to quantitatively assess the outcomes of art-based observational training in medical students, residents, and specialists. The study tested the hypothesis that art-based observational training would lead to measurable effects on judgement skills (tolerance of ambiguity) and empathy in medical students and doctors.
Methods: An experimental cohort study with pre- and post-intervention assessments was conducted using validated questionnaires and qualitative evaluation forms to examine the outcomes of art-based observational training in medical students and doctors.
The subfamily Mileewinae in China comprises one tribe (Mileewini), four genera (, , , ), and 71 species, yet only 11 mitochondrial genomes have been published. This study aimed to elucidate ambiguous diagnostic traits in traditional taxonomy and examined phylogenetic relationships among genera by sequencing mitochondrial genomes from 16 species. The lengths of the mitochondrial genomes ranged from 14,532 to 15,280 bp, exhibiting an AT content of 77.

Very-long-chain fatty acids (VLCFAs) are commonly used to diagnose peroxisomal disorders, but elevated levels may also result from other non-peroxisomal causes, leading to diagnostic challenges. We report the case of a 2-year-old girl presenting with growth retardation and diarrhea, with laboratory investigations revealing elevated VLCFA levels suggestive of a peroxisomal disorder. Despite initial suspicion, genetic panels for peroxisomal and dyslipidemia-associated genes were negative.

Cortisol awakening response (CAR) research relies upon self-collected saliva sampling during the post-awakening period. It is unknown how the CAR protocol is perceived and how they may affect typical routines relevant to CAR methodology. CAR assessment is sensitive to state variables, suggesting that CAR measurement may be affected by research participation.
