Hennekam lymphangiectasia-lymphedema syndrome (HKLLS) is a genetically heterogeneous lymphatic dysplasia with characteristic of facial dysmorphism, neurocognitive impairments, and abnormalities of the pericardium, intestinal tract, and extremities. It is an autosomal recessive condition caused by biallelic mutations in CCBE1 (collagen- and calcium-binding epidermal growth factor domain-containing protein 1) (HKLLS1; OMIM 235510) or FAT4 (HKLLS2; OMIM 616006). CCBE1 acts via ADAMTS3 (a disintegrin and metalloprotease with thrombospondin motifs-3 protease) to enhance vascular endothelial growth factor C signaling. There is report of one family supporting mutations in ADAMTS3 as causative for the phenotype labeled as HKLLS3. Here, we report an additional case of HKLLS that appears to be associated with homozygous nonsense mutation of ADAMTS3.

Hormographiella aspergillata is a rare hyaline mold causing invasive fungal infection in humans, until the frequent use of antifungal prophylaxis in immunocompromised hosts. Due to the high mortality of H. aspergillata infection, early recognition and treatment are crucial.

Background: The Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) program uses the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9), the Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale (GAD-7), and the Work and Social Adjustment Scale (WSAS) as part of their unique outcome monitoring system. To reduce patient burden, this study explored whether abbreviated versions of these questionnaires can be used to derive relevant outcome statistics with minimal loss of information.
Methods: Using two samples (training; n = 1530, validation; n = 766), we examined whether existing short-forms, PHQ-4 and GAD-R3, would provide enough information to calculate relevant outcomes with near perfect agreement with the outcomes based on the original scales.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the integrity of the repaired rotator cuff between 1 and 2 years postoperatively after arthroscopic rotator cuff repair (ARCR) using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), investigate the factors affecting its change, and assess the association between the change and postoperative clinical outcomes.
Methods: Rotator cuff tear patients who underwent ARCR and were evaluated by MRI before surgery, and 1 and 2 years after ARCR with a minimum of 2-year follow-up were included in this study. Repair integrity was evaluated using Sugaya's classification, and according to the classification types IV and V were defined as re-tears.

Background And Objective: Cancer's complex and multifaceted nature makes it challenging to identify unique molecular and pathophysiological signatures, thereby hindering the development of effective therapies. This paper presents a novel fractal-fractional cancer model to study the complex interplay among stem cells, effectors cells, and tumor cells in the presence and absence of chemotherapy. The cancer model with effective treatment through chemotherapy drugs is considered and discussed in detail.

Surgical resection is the only curative treatment for cholangiocarcinoma, but it is often diagnosed at advanced stages, making surgical resection infeasible. Recently, the concept of conversion surgery has expanded the indications for surgical treatment, thanks to advancements in both perioperative management and chemotherapy. However, it remains unclear which patients benefit most from this treatment strategy.
