Synthetic biology leverages engineering principles to program biology with new functions for applications in medicine, energy, food, and the environment. A central aspect of synthetic biology is the creation of synthetic gene circuits - engineered biological circuits capable of performing operations, detecting signals, and regulating cellular functions. Their development involves large design spaces with intricate interactions among circuit components and the host cellular machinery.

Hybrid magnonics has attracted extensive attention for its potential applications in quantum information processing, especially following the discovery of strong coupling in magnon-magnon hybrid systems. In this paper, we studied the coupling phenomena between the left-handed (LH) and right-handed (RH) magnon modes in synthetic antiferromagnets (SAFs) with a tilted perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA). By tilting the PMA at a certain angle from the film normal, we achieved strong magnon-magnon coupling without the need for an external magnetic field.

Metal-organic framework-based hybrids (MOFzyme) have promising applications in colorimetric aptasensors due to their highly efficient and stable catalytic activity. However, their efficient application in biosensors remains a challenging issue due to the limited reaction site and amorphous structure. Herein, we encapsulated catalase inside MOF cavities to prepare an MOFzyme with many functional groups on its surface, and the functional groups were utilized for the subsequent integration of MOFzyme into the hyaluronic acid-DNA hydrogel.

Theranostics is a way of treating illness that blends medicine with testing. Specific characteristics should be present in the best theranostic agents for cancer: (1) the drugs should be safe and non-toxic; (2) they should be able to treat cancer selectively; and (3) they should be able to build up only in the cancerous tissue. Liposomes (LPs) are one of the most efficient drug delivery methods based on nanotechnology.

Synthetic nucleic acids, also defined as xenobiotic nucleic acids (XNAs), opened an avenue to address the limitations of nucleic acid therapeutics and the development of alternative carriers for genetic information in biotechnological applications. Two related XNA systems of high interest are the α-l-threose nucleic acid (TNA) and (3'-2') phosphonomethyl threosyl nucleic acid (tPhoNA), where TNAs show potential in antisense applications, whereas tPhoNAs are investigated for their predisposition toward orthogonal genetic systems. We present predictions on helical models of TNA and tPhoNA chemistry in homoduplexes and in complex with native ribose chemistries.
