Purpose: To provide an update on the diverse, contemporary urological applications of the Hugo™ RAS system.
Methods: A comprehensive literature review was performed to identify studies that described the clinical applications of the Hugo™ RAS system in Urology. The Hugo™ RAS is a new multi-modular robotic platform created by Medtronic, which offered new innovations, including an open surgical console and individual modular and extendable robotic arms that come in their own movable platforms.

Purpose: Recently, the needs for supine percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) have become more increased because of an easy approach for endoscopic combined intrarenal surgery. However, making a nephrostomy tract during supine PCNL is more difficult than prone position due to movable kidney. To overcome this limitation, we used a modified nephrostomy tract dilation (MTD) technique using guidewire traction.

Prior studies demonstrate poor agreement among pathologists' interpretation of kidney biopsy slides. Reliability of representative images of these slides uploaded to the United Network of Organ Sharing (UNOS) web portal for clinician review has not been studied. We hypothesized high agreement among pathologists' image interpretation, since static images eliminate variation induced by viewing different areas of movable slides.
