The following case report presents a 37-year old male patient who was referred for an emergency assessment due to suspected neurovascular damage of the inferior alveolar nerve following placement of two implants in the posterior left mandible. Immediate explantation for nerve decompression is essential combined with supportive analgesic and antiphlogistic medication. Furthermore, oral glucocorticoids were prescribed, starting with 20mg with a stepwise phasing out of the medication thereafter.

Liver metastases can appear in different forms in magnetic resonance imaging. Contrary to popular belief, while radiologists report hypovascular or hypervascular metastatic lesions, exceptional examples may be detected in various tumors. The aim of this article is to improve this review by presenting rare and atypical examples of liver metastasis, as well as cases that might potentially be misdiagnosed as metastases during the process of differential diagnosis.

Hydatid cyst disease is a zoonotic infection caused by the genus Echinococcus. Hydatid cysts are usually located in the liver or lungs whereas the brain is an unusual location. A 45-year-old male patient was diagnosed with an intracranial mass suggesting a metastasis in the frontal region shown in the cranial computed tomography (CT) scan following a cranial trauma.

Introduction And Importance: Florid cemento-osseous dysplasia (FCOD) is a multifocal fibro-osseous tumour originating from the periodontal ligament that presents as being rare, benign and slow-growing. The lesion is characterised by the replacement of regular bone-structure with fibrous tissue and dysplastic bone. Depending on localisation, the initial characteristics of FCOD resemble those of periapical lesions of inflammatory origin.
