Lag times for the diagnosis and treatment of urinary bladder cancer are generally longer which reduces the chances of achieving cures. This study was carried out at the Urology Department of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Dhaka and a Urology Center in a private hospital in Dhaka, Bangladesh from July 2007 to June 2008 on patients of newly diagnosed muscle invasive bladder carcinoma. This study was intended to assess the delay encountered by the patients and its consequences in the process of diagnosis and treatment of bladder cancer.

Background: There is little information about when and how cavernosal sinusoidal endothelia develop in the external genitalia of fetuses.
Methods: We examined histological sections of erectile tissue in 37 human fetuses (25 males and 12 females) whose gestational age (GA) ranged from 8 to 40 weeks.
Results: The sinusoidal lumen was filled with blood in the glans of the penis and clitoris at a GA of 10 to 11 weeks, and in the corpus spongiosum at a GA of 15 to 16 weeks.

Background: Surgical site infections (SSI) following clean abdominal surgery in cattle pose significant economic and welfare concerns. Preoperative skin asepsis aims to minimize microbial load over the surgical field before and throughout surgery to minimize its risk. While chlorhexidine (CHX) and povidone-iodine (PVI) are commonly used antiseptics for this purpose, our study introduces the so far unexplored use of octenidine (OCT) in veterinary surgery.

Radiation- (radio-)recurrent prostate cancer poses a significant challenge in clinical management due to its complexity and varied treatment responses. The recurrence of prostate cancer following radiotherapy necessitates a nuanced management strategy that considers disease stage and aggressiveness, patient health status, and prior treatment modalities. Androgen deprivation therapy (ADT), a cornerstone in the management of regional or distant relapse, often initiates the therapeutic cascade, effectively suppressing tumor growth by targeting androgen signaling.
