Bullous aplasia cutis congenita (BACC) is a rather uncommon entity. The diagnosis can be quite tricky as the entity is not very frequent. Trichoscopy might in these cases be helpful to achieve the correct diagnosis. In this article, we describe for the first time a new sign for BACC that we believe can be useful to arrive at the correct diagnosis.

The risk of developing a severe delayed cutaneous reaction (SCAR) is very low following iodine-based contrast medium (ICM) administration and extremely low following gadolinium-based contrast agent (GBCA) administration. However, SCAR can be very severe and potentially life-threatening. It is crucial for the imaging physician to recognize danger signals: bullous skin eruption, skin erosion and detachment, mucosal involvement, systemic symptoms, and laboratory abnormalities.

D-penicillamine is used as the mainstay of chelation therapy for Wilson's disease and for heavy metal intoxication. D-penicillamine itself has been noted to cause several systemic side effects as well as symptoms related to the skin. Common cutaneous side effects such as acute hypersensitivity reactions, elastic fiber abnormalities, and bullous diseases have been occasionally described.
