Background: Specific foot exercises and the use of minimalist shoes during running or daily life were suggested to strengthen the intrinsic foot muscles and to modify locomotion biomechanics. We aimed to review the effectiveness of these interventions to modify foot muscle sizes, foot strength, and biomechanical outcomes.
Method: PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library and SportDiscus databases were searched (last update: 12 March 2024).

Background: To explore the method and curative effect of minimally invasive treatment of gluteal muscle contracture (GMC) with self-made special cutter combined with special compression hemostasis device.
Methods: The data of 88 patients with GMC treated in our hospital from May 2017 to January 2021 were analyzed retrospectively. They were divided into two groups according to different surgical instruments and hemostatic devices.
Our prospective study investigates the 3-year trajectory of disease-specific quality of life (QoL) using the PEmb-QoL questionnaire, functional performance via 6-min walk tests, and the 5-year survival following acute pulmonary embolism (PE) and explores their association with patient demographics and clinical characteristics. We highlight that PE-specific QoL improves over time despite no significant changes in cardiopulmonary performance.
