This study explored the early diagnosis and prognostic value of copeptin in non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndrome (NSTE-ACS). 171 patients with chest pain or myocardial ischemia symptoms were enrolled. Patients with NSTE-ACS were further divided into the non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) and unstable angina (UA).

Introduction: Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) is a hereditary condition that causes the formation of cysts primarily in the kidneys. The continuous growth of multiple cysts leads to the destruction of functional parenchyma, which may progress to end-stage kidney disease. Tolvaptan is the only drug specifically approved for slowing down the progression of ADPKD.

Background: Lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality among children globally. Copeptin, released by the pituitary gland, serves as a biomarker for various conditions and, as a neuroendocrine stress hormone, is useful in acute conditions. This study aimed to determine the role of copeptin levels in LRTI in children and whether it can reliably predict pneumonia severity.

Objective: To investigate the role of plasma copeptin in predicting mortality in children with heart failure (HF) in addition to poor outcomes, including sepsis, multiorgan dysfunction syndrome, need for mechanical ventilation, and duration of stay in the pediatric intensive care unit.
Methods: This diagnostic study included 76 children aged 1 month to 16 years who were hospitalized with congenital or acquired heart disease with HF, and an age- and gender-matched control group of 65 healthy children. Plasma copeptin level was evaluated within 24 hours of admission.

: Heart failure (HF) is one of the most common initial presentations of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). There are different cardiac biomarkers related to the pathophysiological mechanisms of HF in T2DM. The current research aims to identify additional biomarkers that could improve the diagnosis and prognosis of HFpEF, which is currently assessed using NT pro-BNP levels.
