The administration of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (delta 9-THC, 0.078-5.0 mg/kg, i.v.) to rats anesthetized with pentobarbital caused as much as a 50% decrease in mean arterial blood pressure, heart rate and respiratory rate in a dose-dependent manner. Delta-9(11)-tetrahydrocannabinol (delta 9(11)-THC) was approximately 8-fold less potent than delta 9-THC in its hypotensive effect and had smaller effects on heart and respiratory rates that were not dose-related at doses below 5 mg/kg. Alternate injections of epinephrine (2 micrograms/kg) with vehicle and increasing cannabinoid doses (1.25-5.0 mg/kg) indicated a potentiation of both the duration of the pressor effect and the magnitude of the reflex bradycardic effect of epinephrine by both delta 9- and delta 9(11)-THC. Epinephrine also produced arrhythmias in rats receiving cannabinoids, but not in rats receiving alternate injections of vehicle. It is concluded that both cannabinoids have adverse effects on the cardiovascular system and adverse interactions with epinephrine in rats anesthetized with pentobarbital.

SARS-CoV-2, the cause of COVID-19, primarily targets lung tissue, leading to pneumonia and lung injury. The spike protein of this virus binds to the common receptor on susceptible tissues and cells called the angiotensin-converting enzyme-2 (ACE2) of the angiotensin (ANG) system. In this study, we produced chimeric Macrobrachium rosenbergii nodavirus virus-like particles, presenting a short peptide ligand (ACE2tp), based on angiotensin-II (ANG II), on their outer surfaces to allow them to specifically bind to ACE2-overexpressing cells called ACE2tp-MrNV-VLPs.

However, the existing research ignores the influence of external environment, and it is not clear which dimension is the key driving mechanism for coordinated development of WEF CS. Herein, it built a theoretical framework of "system unit-nexus-natural environment" WEF CS based on the logical framework of "unit-nexus-external environment", and adopted Dagum Gini coefficient, coupling coordination degree, and grey correlation models to explore the sustainable development ability of water resource, energy resource and food resource of the Yellow River Basin (YRB).

Introduction: Heavy metal pollution threatens the biodiversity and ecological equilibrium of the Nile River. This study investigates the impact of heavy metal pollution on aquatic animals such as Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) in the Damietta branch of the River Nile and El-Rayah El-Tawfeeky canal in Benha City in Egypt.

High-frequency precipitation (solid/liquid) isotope datasets are useful for identification of moisture sources and various dynamical and thermodynamical processes controlling precipitation formation. Here, we report three-year (2019-2021) daily rain isotope (both oxygen, δO hereafter, and hydrogen, δH, hereafter) datasets from three unique locations in India during the Indian Summer Monsoon (ISM). The locations are- (1) Port Blair- an island situated in the Bay of Bengal (BoB); (2) Mahabaleshwar, located at the crest of the Western Ghats Mountain; and (3) Tezpur, in northeast India, situated close to a dense forest.
