Background: This study reports a rare case of delayed spontaneous resolution of double anterior chambers (AC) resulting from non-rhegmatogenous Descemet membrane detachment (DMD) after deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty (DALK). Currently, management guidelines for this condition have not been established.
Case Presentation: A 65-year-old woman with lattice corneal dystrophy underwent uncomplicated DALK, during which an unrecognized type 2 big bubble was present.

Background And Objectives: Hospitals and clinicians increasingly are reimbursed based on quality of care through financial incentives tied to value-based purchasing. Patient-centered care, measured through patient experience surveys, is a key component of many quality incentive programs. We hypothesize that operational aspects such as wait times are an important element of emergency department (ED) patient experience.

Crowd movements are observed among different species and on different scales, from insects to mammals, as well as in non-cognitive systems, such as motile cells. When forced to escape through a narrow opening, most terrestrial animals behave like granular materials and clogging events decrease the efficiency of the evacuation. Here, we explore the evacuation behavior of macroscopic, aquatic agents, neon fish, and challenge their gregarious behavior by forcing the school through a constricted passage.

Background: When using an external ventricular drain (EVD) to monitor intracranial pressure (ICP), nurses need to know how long to wait after each manipulation of the transducer before the displayed ICP value represents an accurate signal. This study explores ICP signal equilibration time (EqT) under clinical conditions.
Methods: This was a prospective ex vivo study using a simulated skull, standard EVD tubing, and a strain gauge transducer.
