But patients generally lack understanding of how their clinical data and biospecimens are used or commercialized for research. Autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) is rare, and the diagnosis is not always clear-cut. It is associated with increased morbidity and mortality for the pregnant mother and fetus. Frequent pregnancy testing of women in childbearing years who have a known diagnosis of AIH may be necessary, even after counseling on family planning takes place.

Adhering to established guidelines, regional anesthesia (RA) and pain interventions are essential for preventing or minimizing the risk of complications. This study examines neurological complications that may arise when RA or pain interventions are performed without adherence to the clinical practice guidelines.
