A new coordination polymer Zn(II) with thiosemicarbazone glyoxalic acid HGAT was obtained in this study. According to the X-ray diffraction data, the coordination of the Zn(II) ion is carried out by one sulfur atom, in the thiol form, one nitrogen atom of the azomethine group and two oxygen atoms of the carboxylate groups, one of which belongs to neighbouring complex molecule. The oxygen atom of the water molecule completes Zn(II) ion environment to a distorted square-pyramidal structure. The binding of the monomer complex into polimer occurs through the bridge oxygen atom of carboxylate group. This complex is effective inhibitor of the α-glycosidase, butyrylcholinesterase (BChE), cytosolic carbonic anhydrase I and II isoforms (hCA I and II), and acetylcholinesterase enzymes (AChE) enzymes with Ki values of 1.45 ± 0.23 µM for hCA I, 2.04 ± 0.11 µM for hCA II, 3.47 ± 0.88 µM for α-glycosidase, 0.47 ± 0.10 µM for BChE, and 0.58 ± 0.13 µM for AChE, respectively.

Highly sensitive and portable pesticide residues detection are indispensable for safeguarding food safety and environmental health. Herein, we introduce a one-step vacuum filtration strategy for the scalable production of cobalt-based conjugated coordination polymers (CoCCPs) electrode arrays, utilizing carboxylated single-walled carbon nanotubes (c-SWNTs) as bonding bridges (CoCCPs@c-SWNTs). Due to their abundant active sites and high conductivity, the CoCCPs@c-SWNTs arrays exhibit superior electrochemical performance (e.

As the rubber industry seeks sustainable alternatives to mitigate its environmental impact, this study introduces a biobased approach using polyfarnesene rubber reinforced with plasma-modified cellulose nanocrystals (MCNC) and nanofibers (MCNF). The nanocellulose was modified by plasma-induced polymerization using trans-β-farnesene and was characterized by FTIR, XPS, XRD, TGA, and SEM to confirm the grafting of farnesene-derived polymer chains onto the cellulose surface, demonstrating the successful modification and integration of the nanoparticles. Polyfarnesene bio-based rubbers were synthesized through two different polymerization techniques: solution-based coordination polymerization (PFA1) and emulsion-based free radical polymerization (PFA2).

Ion transport in solid polymer electrolytes is crucial for applications like energy conversion and storage, as well as carbon dioxide capture. However, most of the materials studied in this area are petroleum-based. Natural materials (biopolymers) have the potential to act as alternatives to petroleum-based products and, when derived with ionic liquid (IL) functionalities, present a sustainable alternative for conductive materials by offering tunable morphological, thermal, and mechanical properties.

Lithium (Li) metal anodes hold great promise for next-generation secondary batteries with high energy density. Unfortunately, several problems such as Li dendrite growth, low Coulombic efficiency and poor cycle life hinder the commercialization of Li metal anodes. Herein, we design a highly lithiophilic carbon cloth host modified with Sn-doped zinc oxide (ZnO) (ZnSn-CC) directly derived from a bimetallic ZnSn metal-organic framework (ZnSn-MOF), which boosts uniform Li plating/stripping during charge-discharge and effectively protects the Li metal anode.

This study synthesizes a novel three-dimensional (3D) porous coordination polymer (CP), {[Co(L)₀.₅(H₂O)]·NMP·H₂O} (1), via a solvothermal method in a mixed solvent of water and NMP (1-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone), reacting Co(II) ions with H₄L (1,4-bis(5,6-carboxybenzimidazolylmethyl)benzene). The CP exhibits unique fluorescence properties, emitting at 420 nm under UV light excitation at 350 nm, and serves as a carrier for Mesalazine (MSZ) in therapeutic applications.
