Objective: To determine the frequency of reduction of pain in symptomatic knee osteoarthritis by using combination injections.
Methods: The experimental study was conducted from January 1, 2010, to December 31, 2016,at Al-Noor Surgery Hospital, Chakwal, Pakistan, and comprised patients suffering from symptomatic knee osteoarthritis. All patients were injected intra-articularly and peri-articularily with a combination of streptomycin, kenacort and lidocaine. The effects of this injection were recorded immediately after injection, after a month and after a year. Data was analyzed using SPSS 21.
Results: Of the 169 patients, there were 70(41.40%) males and 99(58.60%) females. The overall mean age and pain duration was 59.27±7.79 years and10.5±5.1 years respectively. No patient had pain immediately after the injection and after a month of follow-up. After a year, 145(86%) had a complete loss of pain compared to the baseline. Three (1.77%) patients required repetition of injection after a year. None of the patients suffered from septic arthritis or localised flare-ups and no one opted for knee joint arthoplasty.
Conclusions: Combination of streptomycin, low-dose corticosteroids and lidocaine hadimmediate and prolonged effect in reducing pain in patients with knee osteoarthritis.

Background: Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is an effective treatment for end-stage knee osteoarthritis, and postoperative rehabilitation is crucial. However, a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of this area has yet to emerge. This study aims to visualize the research trends in postoperative rehabilitation after TKA through bibliometric analysis and explore current research frontiers and hotspots.

Aims: The aim of this study was to perform an incremental cost-utility analysis and assess the impact of differential costs and case volume on the cost-effectiveness of robotic arm-assisted medial unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (rUKA) compared to manual (mUKA).
Methods: Ten-year follow-up of patients who were randomized to rUKA (n = 64) or mUKA (n = 65) was performed. Patients completed the EuroQol five-dimension health questionnaire preoperatively, at three months, and one, two, five, and ten years postoperatively, which was used to calculate quality-adjusted life years (QALY) gained and the incremental cost-effectiveness ratio (ICER).

Aims: The Clavien-Dindo (CD) classification and Comprehensive Complication Index (CCI) have been validated primarily among general surgical procedures. To date, the validity of these measures has not been assessed in patients undergoing arthroplasty.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study included patients undergoing primary total hip and knee arthroplasty between April 2013 and December 2019.

Background: Post-traumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA) often follows anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR), leading to early cartilage degradation. Change in mean T fails to capture subject-specific spatial-temporal variations, highlighting the need for robust quantitative methods for early PTOA detection and monitoring.
Purpose/hypothesis: Develop and apply 3D T cluster analysis to ACLR and healthy knees over 2.

Background: There is a lack of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) research on young adults and knee disorders. This scoping meta-review examined a young adult population and aimed to (1) provide an overview of knee-related PROMs research and (2) evaluate the measurement properties of the five most evaluated knee-related PROMs relevant for individual care and group-level analysis.
Methods: A systematic search of the PubMed and COSMIN databases was conducted on 18 September 2023 and updated on 25 November 2024 to identify systematic reviews of knee-related PROMs in young adults.
