Athliini Smith Evans, new tribe (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Melolonthinae) includes four genera that occur from southern South America through to the southeastern regions of Brazil: Apteroathlia Smith Evans, new genus, Athlia Erichson, 1835, Dihymenonyx Gutiérrez, 1949, and Ulata Saylor, 1945. Justifications are provided for the new tribe and for the placement each genus in the new tribe. Keys to genera and species are presented along with distributional data and maps for all species. Apteroathlia translucida Smith Evans, new species and Apteroathlia nox Smith Evans, new species are described. Lectotypes are designated for Athlia bruchi Moser, 1924 and Athlia rustica Erichson, 1835. A neotype is designated for Ulata argentina Saylor, 1945.

Antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) combining monoclonal antibodies with cytotoxic payloads are a rapidly emerging class of immune-based therapeutics with the potential to improve the treatment of cancer, including children with relapse/refractory acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). CD123, the α subunit of the interleukin-3 receptor, is overexpressed in ALL and is a potential therapeutic target. Here, we show that pivekimab sunirine (PVEK), a recently developed ADC comprising the CD123-targeting antibody, G4723A, and the cytotoxic payload, DGN549, was highly effective in vivo against a large panel of pediatric ALL patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models ( = 39).

Background: Significant differences in outcomes for mothers and babies following obstetric surgical interventions between low- and middle-income countries and high-income settings have demonstrated a need for improvements in quality of care and training of obstetric surgical and anaesthetic providers. To address this, a five-day face-to-face training intervention was developed. When roll-out was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the course was redesigned for delivery by blended learning.

Subcutaneous panniculitis-like T-cell lymphoma (SPTCL) is a rare type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma characterized by subcutaneous nodules, indurated plaques, erythema, and cellular infiltrates in the subcutaneous fat. Biopsies show neoplastic cells expressing cytotoxic T-cell markers and displaying moderate cytologic atypia while sparing the dermis and epidermis and showing variable degrees of necrosis, hemorrhage, and inflammatory changes. We describe a pediatric case of SPTCL in a 6-year-old boy, presenting with an unusual targetoid plaque and systemic symptoms, who showed significant improvement on systemic immunosuppressants without chemotherapy.
