In Western tonal music, major and minor modes are recognized as the primary musical features in eliciting emotional responses. The underlying correlates of this dichotomy in music perception have been extensively investigated through decades of psychological and neuroscientific research, yielding plentiful yet often discordant results that highlight the complexity and individual differences in how these modes are perceived. This variability suggests that a deeper understanding of major-minor mode perception in music is still needed.

Rate coefficients for the reaction of CH with CHO were measured for the first time over the temperature range of 37-603 K, with the CH radicals produced by pulsed laser photolysis and detected by CH radical chemiluminescence following their reaction with O. Spermatic cord sarcomas (SCS) are a group of mesenchymal tumors whose rarity and anatomical location often lead to clinical misdiagnosis such as inguinal hernia, testicular tumor, or other conditions. Any inguinoscrotal mass with suspicious characteristics should prompt clinicians to perform imaging assessments (such as ultrasound or, in uncertain cases, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)) and refer the patient promptly to a specialized center. Histological characterization of all suspicious masses via percutaneous biopsy is recommended, with staging completed through computed tomography (CT) scan for confirmed cases.

This study evaluates the protective effects of sinapic acid (SA), a polyphenolic compound with diverse biological activities, against ethanol-induced gastric ulcers in rats. A gastric ulcer model was established using ethanol (ETH), and the experimental groups received either omeprazole (OMEP, 20 mg/kg) or SA at doses of 20 mg/kg and 40 mg/kg via oral gavage for 14 days. Biochemical markers, including total antioxidant status (TAS), total oxidant status (TOS), oxidative stress index (OSI), malondialdehyde (MDA), and myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity, were assessed alongside proinflammatory cytokines (tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β), and IL-6) using ELISA.
