Objectives:: To evaluate the therapeutic security characteristics of the secure forensic mental health inpatient units in New South Wales, Australia.
Methods:: This study evaluated all eight secure inpatient units in New South Wales using a validated tool, the Security Needs Assessment Profile.
Results:: A pattern of decreasing therapeutic security across the secure units was found, consistent with their intended security levels, from high security through to open security. However, important inconsistencies across and between levels of security were highlighted.
Conclusions:: This study clarifies the therapeutic security structure of the New South Wales forensic mental health service, which is an essential first step in service development and reform.

Objective: Composite primary outcomes (CPO) (incorporating both mortality and non-mortality outcomes) offer several advantages over mortality as an outcome for critical care research. Our objective was to explore and map the literature to report on CPO evaluated in critical care research.
Data Sources: PubMed, Embase, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Scopus, and Cochrane Library from January 2000 to January 2024.

Background: Neonatal sepsis is a leading cause of death in low- and middle- income countries (LMIC). Increasing antibiotic resistance in early onset (< 72 h of life) bloodstream infection (EO-BSI) pathogens in LMIC has reduced the effectiveness of the recommended empiric antibiotic regimen (ampicillin plus gentamicin).
Methods: We retrospectively analysed blood culture-confirmed EO-BSI episodes at nine neonatal units from three central and six peripheral hospitals in the Western Cape Province, South Africa between 1 January 2017 and 31 December 2018.

To achieve the commercialization of organic solar cells (OSCs), it is crucial not only to enhance power conversion efficiency (PCE) but also to improve device stability through rational molecular design. Recently emerging giant molecular acceptor (GMA) materials offer various advantages, such as precise chemical structure, high molecular weight (beneficial to film stability under several external stress), and impressive device efficiency, making them a promising candidate. Here, we report a dendritic hexamer acceptor developed through a branch-connecting strategy, which overcomes the molecular weight bottleneck of GMAs and achieves a high production yield over 58%.

Objective: Muslim patients are an underrepresented community in end-of-life care research, with little evidence around factors that influence the quality and experience of care. The aim of this study was to explore the quality of end-of-life care in the intensive care unit (ICU) from the perspective of next-of-kin family members of Muslim patients.
Design: A qualitative multiple case study design using semistructured interviews with family members of Muslim patients.

The temporal dynamics of bacterial and fungal communities significantly impact the manure composting process, yet viral communities are often underexplored. Bulk metagenomes, viromes, metatranscriptomes, and metabolomes were integrated to investigate dynamics of double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) virus and virus-host interactions throughout a 63-day composting process. A total of 473 viral operational taxonomic units (vOTUs), predominantly Caudoviricetes, showed distinct phase-dependent differentiation.
