Dendrites are crucial for receiving information into neurons. Sensory experience affects the structure of these tree-like neurites, which, it is assumed, modifies neuronal function, yet the evidence is scarce, and the mechanisms are unknown. To study whether sensory experience affects dendritic morphology, we use the arborized nociceptor PVD neurons, under natural mechanical stimulation induced by physical contacts between individuals.

Background: Many of the ligand affinity analyses are presented in water environment, and the hydrophilic solution such as methanol is used for dissociating the bound compounds. The obtained dissociation solution needs to be concentrated for improving the sensitivity of the assay. However, it is not good for the analysis of hydrophobic and volatile compounds such as coumarins.

Background/objectives: The purpose of this study was to develop the gemcitabine-loaded drug-eluting beads (G-DEBs) for transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) in rabbit renal tumors and to evaluate their antitumor effect using 2-deoxy-2-[(18)F]fluoro-D-glucose positron emission tomography/X-ray computed tomography (F-FDG PET/CT).
Methods: DEBs were prepared by polyvinyl alcohol-based macromer crosslinked with -acryl tyrosine and ,'-methylenebis(acrylamide). Gemcitabine was loaded through ion change to obtain G-DEBs.

Background: Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) is a well-known standard treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC); however, the effectiveness of this treatment can vary among patients.
Objectives: This study aimed to develop a novel imaging-based prediction score (Sultan's score) to predict complete response after treatment.
Methods: From January 2015 to 2021, 41 patients with solitary HCC, admitted at King Saud University Medical City, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, were treated with drug-eluting TACE (DEBTACE).
