Objective: This study aimed to retrospectively assess the benefits of combining low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) with ventilation/perfusion single-photon emission computed tomography (V/Q SPECT) for the diagnosis of pulmonary embolism (PE).
Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on 92 patients with suspected PE who underwent V/Q SPECT with ldCT (V/Q SPECT CT) between January 2020 and December 2022 at King Khalid Hospital Najran. Data were collected using the hospital's picture archiving and communication system.

Purpose: Although ventilation/perfusion (V/Q) scintigraphy is a widely used imaging test, different options are possible for the acquisition and interpretation of the scan. The aim of this study was to assess current practices regarding the use and interpretation of lung scintigraphy in various clinical indications.
Patients And Methods: An online survey comprising 25 questions was sent to nuclear medicine departments in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and United States between 2022 and 2023.

Background: This meta-analysis and systematic review assessed the diagnostic accuracy of lung SPECT compared with lung planar imaging in patients with suspected acute pulmonary embolism (PE) or chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension.
Patients And Methods: A search of Medline, Embase, and Cochrane databases identified suitable articles published before October 2023. Meta-analyses were performed to determine the diagnostic accuracy of SPECT imaging modalities, including perfusion (Q) SPECT, ventilation (V)/Q SPECT, Q SPECT/CT, and V/Q SPECT/CT.

Reduced pulmonary diffusing capacity for carbon monoxide (D) can be observed in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and associates with increased mortality. However, the prognostic value of D when corrected for haemoglobin (D), an independent modifier of D, remains understudied. Additionally, the prognostic role of ventilation (V)-perfusion (Q) emission computed tomography (V/Q SPECT) findings in patients with PAH, which may concurrently be performed to rule out chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension, is uncertain.

Aim: The aim of this study is to investigate whether computer-aided, semi-automated 3D lung lobe quantification can support decision-making on PE diagnosis based on the ventilation-perfusion ratio in clinical practice.
Methods: A study cohort of 100 patients (39 male, 61 female, age 64.8±15.
