Aim: To analyze the survival of patients with breast cancer (BC) depending on age, molecular subtype of the tumor and the presence of metabolic syndrome.
Patients And Methods: We have analyzed the results of examination and treatment of 202 patients with BC of stages I-III. The patients were distributed by age into 2 groups. The group 1 included 86 elderly patients (from 65 to 84 years old), the group 2 - 116 younger patients (from 32 to 64 years). An overall 1-, 3- and 5-year survival rates of the treated patients were assessed. The significance of factors influencing the overall survival (OS) of patients with BC was determined using the methods of statistical analysis.
Results: Molecular subtype of BC significantly affects survival rates: in a case of a luminal B subtype the 5-year OS was 71.6 vs 80% (p < 0.05) in groups 1 and 2, respectively while in a case of a basal-like subtype it was 60.2% and 71.6% (p < 0.05). The presence of metabolic syndrome significantly reduced the 5-year OS (up to 70.7% and 80.6%, p < 0.05 in groups 1 and 2, respectively).
Conclusion: The OS is lower in elderly patients with BC compared with younger patients, especially in those who suffer from metabolic syndrome.

Detection of biomarkers of breast cancer incurs additional costs and tissue burden. We propose a deep learning-based algorithm (BBMIL) to predict classical biomarkers, immunotherapy-associated gene signatures, and prognosis-associated subtypes directly from hematoxylin and eosin stained histopathology images. BBMIL showed the best performance among comparative algorithms on the prediction of classical biomarkers, immunotherapy related gene signatures, and subtypes.

Methods: We profiled the whole transcriptomes of NDD cortical tissue by snRNA-seq.
Maternal stress during pregnancy, or prenatal stress, is a risk factor for neurodevelopmental disorders in offspring, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD). In ASD, dorsal striatum displays abnormalities correlating with symptom severity, but there is a gap in knowledge about dorsal striatal cellular and molecular mechanisms that may contribute. Using a mouse model, we investigated how prenatal stress impacted striatal-dependent behavior in adult offspring.

Here, we integrated single-cell RNA sequencing, single-cell multiomics, and spatial transcriptomics to define the transcriptional, epigenetic, and spatial basis of cell identity and castration response in the mouse prostate. Leveraging these data along with a meta-analysis of human prostates and prostate cancer, we identified cellular orthologs and key determinants of ADT response and resistance.

However, it remains unclear whether specific molecular subtypes of ventral SNc DANs are more susceptible to degeneration in PD, and if they contribute to the early motor symptoms associated with the disease. We identified a subtype of Sox6+ DANs, Anxa1+, which are selectively lost earlier than other DANs, and with a time course that aligns with the development of motor symptoms in MitoPark mice.
