A rare case report of leiomyosarcoma of tongue.

Primary leiomyosarcoma of tongue is an extremely rare mesenchymal malignancy with a high recurrence rate and metastatic potential. A 60-year-old lady presented with non-healing ulcer in the lateral boarder of tongue and was diagnosed as leiomyosarcoma on histopathology. Despite adequate and best treatment, she succumbed to disease within 8 months. This case highlights the aggressive behavior of this lesion and the poor survival.
