Bladder cancer is a widespread and highly heterogeneous malignancy. Moreover, bladder cancer recurrence and treatment failure are common, making this disease a challenge for genito-urinary surgeons. Precision medicine represents a new medical concept and model. It is based on personalized medicine, and employs genomics, proteomics, and other omics and cutting-edge medical technologies to classify disease at the molecular level, enabling accurate identification of its cause and therapeutic targets, ultimately offering precise, personalized medicine. The existence of heterogeneity in bladder cancer, resulting in different molecular phenotypes, constitutes a huge challenge for precision medicine. Studying phenotypic differences will be of substantial clinical significance and far-reaching research value with respect to the natural history of tumor development, reduction of drug resistance, the early diagnosis and prognosis of patients with bladder cancer, and the realization of fully developed precision medicine. This paper reviews the possible mechanisms underlying tumor heterogeneity and their impact on precision medicine. The manner in which precision medicine may be performed in the presence of bladder cancer heterogeneity and the prospects of this discipline are also discussed.

Ayahuasca contains N,N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT), the primary alkaloid responsible for its psychedelic effects. DMT oxidative deamination yields indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) as the predominant metabolite, while N-oxidation produces N,N-dimethyltryptamine-N-oxide (DMT-NO) as the second most abundant metabolite. An LC-MS/MS method was developed and validated to quantify DMT, IAA, and DMT-NO in human plasma, as well as DMT and DMT-NO in human urine.

Statement Of Problem: The accuracy of noncalibrated splinting implant scanning techniques that include horizontal implant scan bodies (ISBs) positioned connecting the implants by following the shape of the dental arch have previously been analyzed. A novel horizontal ISB connected in the center of the arch has been introduced; however, the accuracy of this noncalibrated splinting implant scanning technique with a palatal orientation is unknown.
Purpose: The purpose of this in vitro study was to compare the accuracy of a nonsplinting and noncalibrated splinting implant scanning technique recorded using 5 intraoral scanners (IOSs).

Human papilloma virus (HPV)-positive oropharyngeal cancer (OPC) is increasingly prevalent and has a favorable prognosis compared to HPV-negative OPC and other head and neck malignancies associated with smoking and alcohol. De-escalation of definitive therapy for HPV-positive OPC is an attractive strategy aiming to maintain oncologic efficacy while reducing short-term and long-term toxicities and improving quality of life. In this article, we outline approaches to de-escalation including use of alternative systemic therapies, reduction in dose of systemic therapy, and reductions in radiation dose and/or volume.
