Graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) were synthetized from graphite powder and, thereafter, embedded in poly(ethylene--vinyl alcohol) (EVOH) fibers by electrospinning in the 0.1⁻2 wt.-% range. The morphological, chemical, and thermal characterization performed on the electrospun nanocomposite fibers mats revealed that the GNPs were efficiently dispersed and rolled along the EVOH fibrilar matrix up to contents of 0.5 wt.-%. Additionally, the dielectric behavior of the nanocomposite fibers was evaluated as a function of the frequency range and GNPs content. The obtained results indicated that their dielectric constant rapidly decreased with the frequency increase and only increased at low GNPs loadings while the nanocomposite fiber mats became electrically conductive, with the maximum at 0.5 wt.-% GNPs content. Finally, the electrospun mats were subjected to a thermal post-treatment and dark films with a high contact transparency were obtained, suggesting that the nanocomposites can be used either in a nonwoven fibers form or in a continuous film form. This study demonstrates the potential of electrospinning as a promising technology to produce GNPs-containing materials with high electrical conductivity that can be of potential interest in intelligent packaging applications as "smart" labels or tags.

ChatGPT has demonstrated significant potential in various aspects of medicine, including its performance on licensing examinations. In this study, we systematically investigated ChatGPT's performance in Iranian medical exams and assessed the quality of the included studies using a previously published assessment checklist. The study found that ChatGPT achieved an accuracy range of 32-72% on basic science exams, 34-68.

Skin cancers are among the most common cancers in the Western world, with incidence rates increasing significantly over time. Skin cancer survival rates are highly dependent upon early identification. In the United Kingdom (UK), initial assessment of skin lesions is carried out via general practitioners (GPs) who identify and refer suspected cases under the two-week pathway in compliance with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines.

Diffusion models, variational autoencoders, and generative adversarial networks (GANs) are three common types of generative artificial intelligence models for image generation. Among these, GANs are the most frequently used for medical image generation and are often employed for data augmentation in various studies. However, due to the adversarial nature of GANs, where the generator and discriminator compete against each other, the training process can sometimes end with the model unable to generate meaningful images or even producing noise.

Objective: Lower limb malalignment can complicate symptoms and accelerate knee osteoarthritis (OA), necessitating consideration in study population selection. In this study, we develop and validate a deep learning model that classifies leg alignment as "normal" or "malaligned" from knee antero-posterior (AP)/postero-anterior (PA) radiographs alone, using an adjustable hip-knee-ankle (HKA) angle threshold.
Material And Methods: We utilized 8878 digital radiographs, including 6181 AP/PA full-leg x-rays (LLRs) and 2697 AP/PA knee x-rays (2292 with positioning frame, 405 without).

Microsaccades, a form of fixational eye movements, help maintain visual stability during stationary observations. This study examines the modulation of microsaccadic rates by various stimulus categories in monkeys and humans during a passive viewing task. Stimulus sets were grouped into four primary categories: human, animal, natural, and man-made.
