Background: Numerous research studies have delved into the biomechanics of walking, focusing on the spine and lower extremities. However, understanding the symmetry of walking in individuals without health issues poses a challenge, as those with normal mobility may exhibit uneven movement patterns due to inherent functional differences between their left and right limbs. The goal of this study is to examine the three-dimensional kinematics of gait symmetry in the spine and lower body during both typical and brisk overground walking in healthy individuals.

It has been well documented in the arthroplasty literature that lumbar degenerative disc disease (DDD) contributes to abnormal spinopelvic motion. However, the relationship between the severity or pattern of hip osteoarthritis (OA) as measured on an anteroposterior (AP) pelvic view and spinopelvic biomechanics has not been well investigated. Therefore, the aim of the study is to examine the association between the severity and pattern of hip OA and spinopelvic motion.

To elucidate the changes in coronal lumbar-pelvic-femoral alignment after conversion total hip arthroplasty (THA) in patients with unilateral ankylosed hip. A retrospective radiologic study of 48 patients (48 hips) with unilateral hip arthrodesis who underwent conversion THA was conducted. Cobb's angle of lumbar scoliosis (LS), the pelvic obliquity (PO) angle, and the hip adduction angle (HAA) on standing anterior-posterior spine-pelvis-hip radiographs were measured before and after THA.

Objective: To explore sagittal compensation characteristics, including extra spinal-pelvic parameters and distal hip parameters, for analysis in middle-aged to the older patients with lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) without spinal deformity and clarify the fitting relationship between the main sagittal parameters.
Methods: This retrospective single-center study included 205 patients with LSS in our department from January 2016 to December 2018, including 153 women (74.6%), with an average age of 67.
