Induction of systemic acquired resistance (SAR) in plants to control bacterial diseases has become an effective solution to the problems of agrochemical resistance and ecological environment damage caused by long-term and large-scale use of traditional bactericides. However, current SAR-inducing compounds are often unable to rapidly eliminate pathogenic bacteria in infected plant tissues to prevent further spread of the disease, severely restraining the potential for extensive application in agriculture. Herein, we address the limitations by developing a series of visible-light-absorbing aggregation-induced emission photosensitizers suitable for agricultural use.

Symbiotic nitrogen fixation (SNF) provides nitrogen for soybean. A primary challenge in enhancing yield through efficient SNF lies in striking a balance between its high energy consumption and plant growth. However, the systemic transcriptional reprogramming during nodulation remains limited.

Small regulatory RNAs (sRNAs) are essential regulators of gene expression across a wide range of organisms to precisely modulate gene activity based on sequence-specific recognition. In model plants like Arabidopsis thaliana, extensive research has primarily concentrated on 21 to 24-nucleotide (nt) sRNAs, particularly microRNAs (miRNAs). Recent advancements in cell and tissue isolation techniques, coupled with advanced sequencing technologies, are revealing a diverse array of preciously uncharacterized sRNA species.

The most damaging disease affecting citrus globally is Huanglongbing (HLB), primarily attributed to the infection by ' asiaticus' (Las). Based on comparative transcriptome data, two cellulose synthase (CESA) genes responsive to Las infection induction were screened, and one gene cloned with higher differential expression level was selected and named . we verified the interaction between CsCESA1 and citrus exopolysaccharide 2 (CsEPS2) proteins.
