Selection on body size tends to favor larger males that outcompete smaller males to mate with females, and larger, more fecund females. For many web-building spiders in the Nephilidae family, reproductive success increases with body size, which in turn, is related to diet. The diet of female spiders may overlap with males who share her web, but diet patterns could depend on size if certain males have better access to prey ensnared in the web.

For example, complementing esports training with physical activities has been explored. Socioemotional selectivity theory (SST) maintains that perceived constraints on time horizons motivate people to optimize emotionally meaningful experiences in the present, whereas expansive time horizons lead people to pursue goals that hold future utility. Theoretically, the prioritizing of goals about emotional meaning contributes to the relatively high levels of emotional well-being and mental health observed in older people. The present article provides an overview of SST and places it in historical context, noting the differences and similarities it shares with contemporaneous approaches.

Introduction: Agenda-setting is a collaborative communication strategy used by a clinician before or at the start of a clinical encounter to work together with the patient to "elicit, propose, and organize" topics to be discussed during the encounter. While clinical visit agenda-setting has been acknowledged as an important element of patient-centered communication, the effectiveness of agenda-setting interventions in improving healthcare outcomes is unclear. To our knowledge, no systematic review has examined clinical visit agenda-setting interventions.
