The content of cAMP in blood T and B lymphocytes was measured in 30 patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), 10 patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and 28 donors. A statistically significant increase in the cAMP content in T lymphocytes of RA and SLE patients was established. On the contrary, in B lymphocytes of blood of RA patients and of SLE patients, in particular, the cAMP content was below normal. In female patients with RA, the cAMP content in T lymphocytes was appreciably higher than in male patients.

Bradyrhizobium sp. strain SUTN9-2 demonstrates cell enlargement, increased DNA content, and efficient nitrogen fixation in response to rice (Oryza sativa) extract. This response is attributed to the interaction between the plant's cationic antimicrobial peptides (CAMPs) and the Bradyrhizobium BacA-like transporter (BclA), similar to bacteroid in legume nodules.

Angiogenesis, a meticulously regulated process essential for both normal development and pathological conditions, necessitates a comprehensive understanding of the endothelial mechanisms governing its progression. Leveraging the zebrafish model and NgAgo knockdown system to identify target genes influencing angiogenesis, our study highlights the significant role of gastric inhibitory polypeptide (GIP) and its receptor (GIPR) in this process. While GIP has been extensively studied for its insulinotropic and glucagonotropic effects, its role in angiogenesis remains unexplored.

The athlete's paradox phenomenon involves the accumulation of intramuscular triglycerides (IMTG) in both insulin-resistant and insulin-sensitive endurance athletes. Nevertheless, a complete understanding of this phenomenon is yet to be achieved. Recent research indicates that lactate, a common byproduct of physical activity, may increase the accumulation of IMTG in skeletal muscle.
