Derivatives of 3-(1-1,2,3-triazol-1-yl)quinoline-2,4(1,3)-dione unsubstituted on quinolone nitrogen atom, which are available by the previously described four step synthesis starting from aniline, were exploited as intermediates in obtaining the title compounds. The procedure involves the introduction of propargyl group onto the quinolone nitrogen atom of mentioned intermediates by the reaction of them with propargyl bromide in ,-dimethylformamide (DMF) in presence of a potassium carbonate and the subsequent formation of a second triazole ring by copper catalyzed cyclisation reaction with azido compounds. The products were characterized by ¹H, C and N NMR spectroscopy. The corresponding resonances were assigned on the basis of the standard 1D and gradient selected 2D NMR experiments (¹H⁻¹H gs-COSY, ¹H⁻C gs-HSQC, ¹H⁻C gs-HMBC) with ¹H⁻N gs-HMBC as a practical tool to determine N NMR chemical shifts at the natural abundance level of N isotope.

Introduction: Lumacaftor/ivacaftor (lum/iva) was introduced in the Netherlands in 2017. We investigated 1-year efficacy of lum/iva on lung function and small airway and structural lung disease evaluated by multiple breath nitrogen washout and CT scan. Additionally, we investigated effects of lum/iva on exacerbations, anthropometry, sweat chloride and safety in children with CF in the Netherlands.

Cancer, characterized by uncontrolled growth and spread of abnormal cells potentially influencing almost all tissues in the body, is one of the most devastating and lethal diseases throughout the world. Chemotherapy is one of the principal approaches for cancer treatment, but multidrug resistance and severe side effects represent the main barriers to the success of therapy, creating a vital need to develop novel chemotherapeutic agents. The 1,2,3-triazole moiety can be conveniently constructed by "click chemistry" and could exert diverse noncovalent interactions with various enzymes in cancer cells.

Graphitic carbon nitride (CN) is a kind of visible light-responsive photocatalyst that has been of great interest in wastewater treatment. However, its environmental impact and biological effect remains to be elucidated. This study investigated the effect of CN nanosheets on bacterial abundance and antibiotic tolerance in wastewater.

To enhance the contaminant removal efficiency of the electro-Fenton (E-Fenton) process, a nitrogen and phosphorus co-doped graphite felt (NPGF) cathode was synthesized using an anodic oxidation technique. An ascorbic acid-coupled NPGF E-Fenton system was then established for the degradation of ciprofloxacin (CIP). The NPGF cathode featured abundant oxygen-containing functional groups (such as -COOH and -OH), which enhanced the selectivity of oxygen reduction and facilitated the formation of HO.
