Two new diphenyl ethers ( and ) and four new phenolic bisabolane sesquiterpenoids (⁻), together with five known related derivatives, were isolated from the culture of the endophytic fungus QQSG-3 obtained from a fresh branch of , which was collected from Huizhou city in the province of Guangdong, China. The structures of compounds ⁻ were determined by analyzing NMR and HRESIMS data. The absolute configurations of and were assigned by comparing their experimental ECD spectra with those reported for similar compounds in the literature. All isolates were evaluated for their α-glucosidase inhibitory activity, of which compounds , , , and showed strong inhibitory effects with IC values in the range of 1.5⁻4.5 μM.

Background: In 2023, we experienced an outbreak from a case of undiagnosed crusted scabies, resulting in a significant number of exposed individuals and secondary cases. In this report, we describe the outbreak control measures, the attack rate, and the risk factors for acquisition of scabies among healthcare workers (HCWs).
Methods: This study was conducted in a 2,700-bed tertiary care hospital in Seoul, South Korea.

Background: Metoclopramide, a dopamine antagonist employed for its antiemetic effects, can precipitate neuropsychiatric adverse effects, including extrapyramidal symptoms and, in a few instances, acute psychosis. Although there have been reports of metoclopramide-induced psychosis in elderly individuals, there is no documentation of such incidents in children as far as we are aware.
Case Presentation: This case report describes an 11-year-old girl with a history of mild intellectual disability and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, managed with 10 mg of methylphenidate daily.

Introduction: Diabetic macular oedema (DMO), a serious ocular complication of diabetic retinopathy (DR), is a leading cause of vision impairment worldwide. If left untreated or inadequately treated, DMO can lead to irreversible vision loss and blindness. Intravitreal injections using antivascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) and laser are the current standard of treatment for DMO.

Background: Accumulating research highlights that exposure to serum brominated flame retardants (BFRs) may elevate health risks. The effects of serum BFRs, both alone and in combination, on obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) have not been thoroughly studied. Our main goal was to examine the association between individual and mixtures of serum BFRs and OSAS risk.

Background: The current synthetic strategies for carbon dots (CDs) are usually time-consuming, rely on complicated processes, and need high temperatures and energy. Recent studies have successfully synthesized CDs at room temperature. Unfortunately, most CDs synthesized at room temperature are obtained under harsh reaction conditions, prepared using aromatic precursors, or need a long time to generate.
