Introduction: Sarcoidosis is an inflammatory disease characterized by granulomas, the etiology of which remains unclear. This study examines sarcoidosis-related mortality trends in the United States from 1999 to 2020, with a focus on disparities pertaining to patient sex, geographical location, and urbanization status.
Methods: We analyzed death certificate data from the CDC WONDER database, using ICD-10 code D86.

Small fiber neuropathy is a common complication in patients with sarcoidosis and its prevalence is estimated at 40-86%. The underlying mechanism influences the presentation of small fiber neuropathy. For example, patients with metabolic diseases are often associated with a classic length-dependent small fiber neuropathy pattern, while patients with inflammatory diseases are more often present with a non-length-dependent small fiber neuropathy.

Aims: To compare the safety and efficacy of methotrexate (MTX), mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) and azathioprine (AZA) in non-anterior sarcoidosis-associated uveitis.
Methods: Retrospective study including non-anterior sarcoidosis-associated uveitis according to the revised International Workshop on Ocular Sarcoidosis criteria. The primary outcome was defined as the median time to relapse or occurrence of serious adverse events leading to treatment discontinuation.
