Serine-modified silver nanoparticle porous spray membrane: A novel approach to wound infection prevention and inflammation reduction.

Int J Pharm

January 2025

College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Zhejiang University, 866 Yuhangtang Road, Hangzhou, Zhejiang 310058, PR China. Electronic address:

Traditional wound care preparations frequently face challenges such as complex care protocols, poor patient compliance, limited skin permeability, lack of aesthetics, and inconvenience, in addition to the risk of bacterial infection. We developed a spray film preparation containing nanocellulose and L-serine modified nanosilver, capable of rapidly forming a transparent film on the skin within minutes of application. The incorporation of nanocellulose imparted protective, moisturizing, and breathable properties to the film, allowing for easy removal after use.

Facile Formation of Durable SiO-TiO Coatings on Plastic Films for Self-Cleaning and Antifogging.

ACS Appl Mater Interfaces

January 2025

CAS Key Laboratory of Bio-inspired Materials and Interfacial Science, Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100190, P.R. China.

Surface fogging affects the light transmittance of various transparent materials and poses potential safety hazards. Superhydrophilic TiO surfaces can effectively prevent fogging by promoting continuous water film formation; however, they often struggle to maintain stable hydrophilicity and adhesion on plastic films. Self-cleaning and antifogging coatings on plastic substrates are crucial for applications requiring long-term clarity and minimal maintenance costs.

Solutions for scalable, high-performance optical control are important for the development of scaled atom-based quantum technologies. Modulation of many individual optical beams is central to applying arbitrary gate and control sequences on arrays of atoms or atom-like systems. At telecom wavelengths, miniaturization of optical components via photonic integration has pushed the scale and performance of classical and quantum optics far beyond the limitations of bulk devices.

The transfer of large-area, continuous, chemical vapor deposition (CVD)-grown graphene without introducing defects remains a challenge for fabricating graphene-based electronics. Polymer thin films are commonly used as supports for transferring graphene, but they typically require thermal annealing before transfer. However, little work has been done to thoroughly investigate how thermal annealing affects the polymer/graphene thin film when directly annealed on the growth substrate.
