The information to which whole genome sequencing (WGS) provides access raises questions about its disclosure to patients. The literature focused on the nature of findings, shows patients share the same expectations while evoking possible heterogeneity. Our objective is to test this hypothesis of preference heterogeneity with respect to the disclosure of results from WGS by means of a discrete choice experiment (DCE). Our DCE includes six attributes for studying preferences with respect to (1) variants of unknown significance and (2) secondary findings, and more innovatively with respect to (3) repeat analysis of the tests, (4) the decision-making process, (5) patient support and (6) the cost of testing. The survey was conducted at two genetic centres in France from February to December 2015 and included 528 parents of patients with development disorders with no aetiological diagnosis. By using a latent class model, it was possible to identify two preference profiles with parents opting for either a prospective (75% of sample) or a targeted (25%) diagnostic approach. The former valued the exhaustive and diverse genetic information the test can provide, even when the information is uncertain or not directly related to their child's illness; the latter valued only the least uncertain information relating to their child's illness. Understanding patients' preference patterns can help professionals to better accommodate and support patients and enables policy-makers to measure the diversity of expectations in the face of current developments in genomic medicine.

Background: Gastrointestinal infections caused by intestinal parasites and Helicobacter pylori are significant public health issues in Africa, where poor sanitation and limited access to healthcare contribute to high disease burden. Since there was no previous pooled data regarding the intestinal parasites and Helicobacter pylori co-infections among gastrointestinal symptomatic patients in the African context, this review aimed to determine the overall prevalence of intestinal parasites and Helicobacter pylori co-infection in people with gastrointestinal symptoms in Africa.
Methods: The current review followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) standards and registered in the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews (PROSPERO; CRD42024598993).

Background: Traumatic injury poses significant physical and psychological challenges, often resulting in psychological distress, encompassing symptoms of anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress. Despite the recognised need for psychological care in trauma rehabilitation, there is limited empirical evidence of effective interventions tailored specifically for individuals with traumatic injuries, leading to a practice-evidence gap.
Objectives: This review aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of psychological and behavioural interventions for reducing psychological distress in adults following traumatic injury.
Introduction: Drinking contaminated water is a significant cause of mortality and morbidity in Sub-Saharan Africa, where access to safe drinking water is limited. Although numerous studies have investigated the bacteriological quality of drinking water in Ethiopia, their findings have been inconsistent and varied, hindering the implementation of effective water quality monitoring. Moreover, there is a lack of nationwide assessment of the bacteriological quality of drinking water in Ethiopia.

Despite the global prevalence of dental caries, there is a paucity of comprehensive data on the extent of this issue among children in the Arab region. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the prevalence of dental caries and the associated Decayed, Missing, and Filled Teeth (DMFT) indices in permanent teeth among children from 4 to under 18 years of age in the Arab region. A comprehensive review of various studies was conducted.

Purpose: After primary systemic therapy (PST), agreement on the extent of locoregional therapy is lacking in breast cancer patients who convert from a node-positive to a node-negative status. The aim of this survey was to investigate radiation therapy approaches after PST according to different axillary surgical strategies and disease responses.
Materials And Methods: The European Breast Cancer Research Association of Surgical Trialists developed a web-based survey containing 39 questions on locoregional management based on clinical scenarios in initially node positive breast cancer patients undergoing PST.
