Introduction: The aim of the study was to estimate the population-based dementia incidence in Germany over a period of two decades.
Methods: We analyzed data from 4814 participants of the population-based Heinz Nixdorf Recall study (49.8% men, 45-75 years at baseline period 2000-2003), who have been monitored for the occurrence of cognitive decline and dementia.

Introduction: We examined semantic and phonemic fluency in individuals with subjective cognitive decline (SCD) in relation to amyloid status and clinical progression.
Methods: A total of 490 individuals with SCD (62 ± 8 years, 42% female, 28% amyloid-positive, 17% clinical progression) completed annual fluency assessments (mean ± SD follow-up 4.3 ± 2.

Many older adults with personal care needs rely on paid caregivers to remain in the community ("home care"). Those without Medicaid or private long-term-care insurance must pay out-of-pocket for care. We used the Health and Retirement Study to identify the prevalence and financial burden of paying for home care out-of-pocket in 2002-2018, by income and dementia status.

Introduction: It is unknown in which, if any, subgroups of older adults multidomain interventions are effective at reducing long-term dementia incidence.
Methods: We pooled up to 12 years of follow-up data from 5205 participants aged > 70 from the Multidomain Alzheimer Preventive Trial (MAPT) and Prevention of Dementia by Intensive Vascular Care (preDIVA) studies. The primary outcome was incident all-cause dementia.

Objective: This paper introduces a novel framework for evaluating phenotype algorithms (PAs) using the open-source tool, Cohort Diagnostics.
Materials And Methods: The method is based on several diagnostic criteria to evaluate a patient cohort returned by a PA. Diagnostics include estimates of incidence rate, index date entry code breakdown, and prevalence of all observed clinical events prior to, on, and after index date.
