The aim of present study was to develop a pH responsive rate controlling polymer by acrylamide grafting onto pullulan. Grafting was performed using free radical induced microwave assisted irradiation technique using ceric ammonium nitrate as free radical inducer. Acrylamide grafted pullulan (Aam-g-pull) was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, solid state C nuclear magnetic resonance and field emission scanning electron microscopy. In vitro enzymatic degradation of Aam-g-pull showed degradation of 22.45% after 8 h with degradation rate constant (k) of 0.019 min. In vitro cytotoxicity test did not show cell viability below 80% on HepG2 cell line. Pirfenidone tablets were prepared by utilizing wet granulation method using Aam-g-pull as the only rate controlling polymer. The tablets were characterized in terms of in-process quality control parameters like weight variation, hardness, assay, and in vitro dissolution study. The dissolution study showed that the cumulative drug release in phosphate buffer pH 6.8 (rel = 44.12 ± 0.56%) got a significant jump as compared to the release in 0.1 N hydrochloric acid (rel = 26.78 ± 0.23%), confirming the material to be pH responsive. Aam-g-pull can be used as pH responsive rate controlling polymer.

Lung cancer is correlated with a high death rate, with approximately 1.8 million mortality cases reported worldwide in 2022. Despite development in the control of lung cancer, most cases are detected at higher stages with short survival rates.

Methods: Eighty rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients and forty healthy controls were included in this case-control study. Of these patients, forty had ILD, and forty without ILD.

Objective: To establish an arterial spin labeling (ASL) protocol for rat livers that improves data reliability and reproducibility for perfusion quantification.
Methods: This study used respiratory-gated, single-slice, FAIR-based ASL imaging with multiple inversion times (TI) in rat livers. Quality assurance measures included: (1) introduction of mechanical ventilation to ensure consistent respiratory cycles by controlling the respiratory rate (45 bpm), tidal volume (10 ml/kg), and inspiration: expiration ratio (I:E ratio, 1:2), (2) optimization of the trigger window for consistent trigger points, and (3) use of fit residual map and coefficient of variance as metrics to assess data quality.

To investigate the role of silent information regulator 6 (SIRT6) in regulating podocyte injury in diabetic nephropathy (DN) through autophagy mediated by Notch signaling pathway. A blank control group (group A), a diabetic nephropathy group (group B), and a Sirt6 intervention group (group C) were established. The group A cells were human normal glomerular podocyte cell lines (HGPCs) without any treatment.

This study investigated the relationship between eye movement parameters and cognitive function in patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease (AD). A total of 80 patients with AD (mild and moderate) and 34 normal controls (NC) participated. Neuropsychological assessments were conducted using the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) and the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), while eye movements were recorded using eye-tracking technology.
