Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities (DD) often struggle with behavior management and emotion-regulation (ER). In this manuscript, we describe the results of a chart review examining a group treatment program designed to address ER deficits in youth with ASD and/or DD. The intensive 5 week program utilizes cognitive behavior, applied behavior analysis, and mindfulness techniques and includes biweekly child and parent groups. Results indicate that this program is feasible and associated with high caregiver satisfaction. Pre-and-post outcome results indicate statistically significant improvement on behavioral measures, but did not demonstrate significant improvment on the Pediatric Quality of Life Family Impact Module. Based on overall positive outcomes, a randomized controlled trial of the program is indicated.

Objective: The objective of this study was to compare a multiple pelvic screw fixation strategy (dual bilateral 4 pelvic screw fixation [4PvS]) with the use of single bilateral 2 pelvic screw fixation (2PvS), with the aim of addressing lumbosacral junction stability.
Methods: This analysis is a single-center, retrospective review of ASD patients treated between 2015 and 2021. All patients had a minimum 2-year follow-up and spinal fusion to the sacrum without sacroiliac fusion and met at least one radiographic and procedural criterion: pelvic incidence-lumbar lordosis ≥ 20°, T1 pelvic angle ≥ 20°, sagittal vertical axis ≥ 7.

Sleep problems are common in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), with potential repercussions on neurobehavioral functioning exacerbating socio-communicative impairments and aggressive behaviors. Parent reports are the most used method to assess sleep in pediatric populations and a modified 23-item of Children's Sleep Habits Questionnaire (CSHQ) for ASD has been proposed in the United States. The generalizability of the CSHQ for ASD has yet to be validated across countries, including Italy.

Background/objectives: Routine screening electrocardiograms (ECGs) prior to starting medications for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) remain controversial. This real-world study assessed corrected QT (QTc) interval data from pediatric patients who had a baseline ECG performed prior to initiating treatment with ADHD medications and ≥6 months of clinical follow-up.
Methods: A retrospective chart review of children aged 2-18 years diagnosed with ADHD with/without autism spectrum disorder (ASD) at child neurology clinics in Jordan (June 2019 and June 2021) was performed, and children were prescribed with ADHD medications to manage symptoms.
