Background: In view of a constant increase in the number of patients treated with antipsychotic medications, the problem of nonadherence to the prescribed treatment becomes particularly relevant. Since one of the major contributors to the nonadherence is the presence of side effects of the drugs being used, the availability of tools for assessment of adverse reactions is of great importance.
Objective: The objective of the present work was to develop an Arabic language version of the Glasgow Antipsychotic Side-effect Scale (GASS).
Methods: After confirming the accuracy of translation, the questionnaire was given to 100 patients in two psychiatric centers in Saudi Arabia.
Results: The Cronbach's alpha (0.793) indicated a good reliability of the survey. The mean GASS score was 19.09, indicating absent or mild side effects of antipsychotics, but 46% of patients experienced moderate, and 25% experienced severe side effects. An analysis of the correlation between patients' characteristics and side effects revealed the presence of a positive relationship between the side effects and health literacy.
Conclusions: It is expected that the Arabic-GASS will benefit Arabic-speaking psychiatric patients by helping them to express their concerns about side effects of antipsychotics. The collected results also document the importance of patients' health literacy in achieving high-quality healthcare.

Bisphenol A (BPA), an environmental endocrine disrupting chemical, is one of the most widely used chemicals in the world and is widely distributed in the external environment, specifically in food, water, dust, and soil. BPA exposure is associated with abnormal cognitive behaviors. However, the underlying mechanism remains unclear.

Background: Rib and sternum fractures are common injuries associated with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The fracture mechanism is either direct by application of force on sternum and anterior ribs or indirect by bending through compression of the thorax. The aim of this study was to determine morphologies of rib fractures after CPR and to reevaluate prior findings on fracture localisation, type and degree of dislocation.

Increasing evidence suggests that inhibition of receptor-interacting serine/threonine-protein kinase (RIPK) 1/RIPK3/mixed lineage kinase domain-like pseudokinase (MLKL) necrosome has protective effects in vivo models of painful conditions seen in humans associated with inflammation and demyelination in the central nervous system. However, the contribution of RIPK1-driven necroptosis to inflammatory pain remains unknown. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of necrostatin (Nec) -1s, a selective RIPK1 inhibitor, on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced inflammatory pain and related underlying mechanisms.

Today, methamphetamine (METH) is being used by adolescents and young adults. Our previous research demonstrated that intrauterine exposure to METH induces apoptosis in testicles and seminiferous tubes. However, based on available literature, the mechanism of this effect remains unidentified.
