The first instar and mature larva and pupa of Medvedev, 1957, a newly recorded species from China, are described and figured. The chaetotaxy of the head, mouthparts, legs, and dorsal and ventral surfaces of the body is described. This is the first detailed description of immatures in the genus . Diagnostic characters of this species are compared with other described immatures of some Hispini genera. Biological notes on , such as host plants, feeding patterns of adults, structure of larval mines and life history, are also presented.

Background: Gestational exposure to non-persistent endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) may be associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes. While many EDCs affect the endocrine system, their effects on endocrine-related metabolic pathways remain unclear. This study aims to explore the global metabolome changes associated with EDC biomarkers at delivery.

Unlabelled: Our previous study on BRCA breast cancer carriers disclosed a high local recurrence (LR) rate in patients who underwent skin sparing (SSM) or nipple sparing mastectomy (NSM) without postoperative radiation therapy (RT), compared to breast conservation surgery or mastectomy with RT. The current study compares the LR rates in BRCA versus non BRCA carriers after SSM/NSM in relation the receipt of RT.

Methods: The study was approved by the institutional ethics committee.

Electronic address:

Background: Isolated subsegmental pulmonary embolism (issPE) is a commonly encountered diagnosis. Although the International Classification of Diseases (ICD)-10 codes are used for research, their validity for identifying issPE is unknown. Moreover, issPE diagnosis is challenging, and the findings from radiology reports may conflict with those from expert radiologists.

Rewiring cancer: 3D genome determinants of cancer hallmarks.

Curr Opin Genet Dev

January 2025

Department of Pathology, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA, USA; Broad Institute, Cambridge, MA, USA; Department of Pathology, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, USA. Electronic address:

In modern cancer biology, Hanahan and Weinberg's classic depiction of the Hallmarks of Cancer serves as a heuristic for understanding malignant phenotypes [1]. Genetic determinants of these phenotypes promote cancer induction and progression, and these mutations drive current approaches to understanding and treating cancer. Meanwhile, for over a century, pathologists have noted that profound alterations of nuclear structure accompany transformation, integrating these changes into diagnostic classifications (Figure 1).
