We herein report a neonatal case showing specific findings of blood perfusion in the anastomosed esophagus of esophageal atresia (EA) and tracheoesophageal fistula (TEF) using indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence during thoracoscopic surgery. The patient was a 3054 g, 0-day neonatal boy diagnosed with EA-TEF based on a coil-up sign of the nasogastric tube. Thoracoscopic surgery was performed on Day 4 after birth.

Performing an intracorporeal esophagojejunostomy during laparoscopic-assisted total or proximal gastrectomy is challenging. We developed an ingenious method of overlapping esophagojejunostomy using a linear stapler to avoid stapler-related intraoperative complications. Following lymph node dissection, the esophagus was transected anterior-posteriorly.

Background: This study presents a novel laparoscopic modified overlapping oesophagojejunostomy anastomosis method which consists of self-pulling and latter transection to perform a safer anastomosis, describes the anastomosis technique in detail and reveals its short-term outcomes.
Methods: Forty-five patients underwent totally laparoscopic total gastrectomy using the self-pulling and oesophagus latter-cut overlap method anastomosis for gastric cancer from January 2019-2022. During the self-pulling phase, the oesophagus was ligated at the level of the gastroesophageal junction or above and dragged down by a ligature rope to mobilise up to 5-6 cm.

Purpose: Several cytokines and growth factors start and progress the destruction process of joint hyaline cartilage and fibrosis formation. Captopril is classified as an Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor in which several studies revealed that captopril significantly decreases fibrosis formation in some organs like the liver, heart, and kidney. This study aimed to evaluate the use of captopril in reducing the possibility of arthrofibrosis and osteoarthritis in an animal model.

Currently, the Overlap anastomosis is one of the most favored reconstruction methods of intracorporeal esophagojejunostomy (EJS). Despite many advantages of the method, it remains some shortcomings to be improved when it comes to the retraction of the esophagus stump, the insertion of the anvil fork of the linear stapler into a "pseudo" lumen, and the closure of the common entry hole. This study aims to investigate the safety and feasibility of a multi-mode modified Overlap anastomosis.
