The high dielectric constant ferroelectric-polymer nanocomposite was developed for producing the heat-resistant and chemical stable planar layers. According to the composite coatings formation conditions, the following value ranges of dielectric constant and loss factor were received: 30⁻400 for dielectric constant and 0.04⁻0.1 for loss tangent, accordingly. Unlike of composite components, the obtained composite material is characterized by thermo-stability of electrical parameters up to 250 °C. The dielectric frequency spectra of the composite exhibit two clearly visible peaks in contrast to the spectra of the polymer and ferroelectric ceramics. The developed composite material can be used as a built-in film capacitors material in microelectronic devices.

Dielectric capacitors are vital for modern power and electronic systems, and accurate assessment of their dielectric properties is paramount. However, in many prevailing reports, the fringing effect near electrodes and parasitic capacitance in the test circuit were often neglected, leading to overrated dielectric performances. Here, the serious impacts of the fringing effect and parasitic capacitance are investigated both experimentally and theoretically on different dielectrics including AlO, SrTiO, etc.

Soft and stretchable strain sensors are crucial for applications in human-machine interfaces, flexible robotics, and electronic skin. Among these, capacitive strain sensors are widely used and studied; however, they face challenges due to material and structural constraints, such as low baseline capacitance and susceptibility to external interference, which result in low signal-to-noise ratios and poor stability. To address these issues, we propose a U-shaped electrode flexible strain sensor based on liquid metal elastomer (LME).

The dielectric properties of polymers play a pivotal role in the development of advanced materials for energy storage, electronics, and insulation. This review comprehensively explores the critical relationship between polymer chain conformation, nanostructure, and dielectric properties, focusing on parameters such as dielectric constant, dielectric loss, and dielectric breakdown strength. It highlights how factors like chain rigidity, free volume, molecular alignment, and interfacial effects significantly influence dielectric performance.

In this work, the rare earth element Ce was incorporated into the A-site of SrBaNbO ferroelectric ceramics, which was prepared using the conventional solid state reaction method and sintered under different procedures. A comprehensive investigation was conducted to assess the impact of Ce doping and varying sintering procedures on both the relaxor characteristics and electrical properties of the ceramics. When sintered at 1300 °C for 4 h, the grains exhibited an isometric shape.

In order to increase the thermal conductivity of neat epoxy resin and broaden its practical application in high-voltage insulation systems, we have constructed four kinds of epoxy resin nanocomposite models (a neat epoxy resin (EP), a graphene-doped epoxy resin nanocomposite (EP/GR) and hydroxyl- or carboxyl-functionalized graphene-doped epoxy resin nanocomposites (EP/GR-OH or EP/GR-COOH)) to systematically investigate their thermodynamic and electrical properties using molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. Compared with the EP model, carboxyl-functionalized graphene particles enhanced the thermal conductivity of the EP/GR-COOH model by 66.5% and increased its by 26.
