Background: In recent years, text-based e-consultations have been widely implemented in general practice and are appreciated by patients for their convenience and efficiency. Policymakers aim to enhance patient access to clinical services with the general practitioner (GP) through text-based e-consultations. However, concerns are raised about their efficiency and security.

Background: Whereas uncomplicated labral tears with preserved fibers can be effectively treated with use of labral repair techniques, complex tears and hypoplastic labra require labral reconstruction. Standard reconstruction techniques feature grafted tissue that is added to existing, deficient tissue or that is utilized to replace a hypoplastic labrum entirely. However, such approaches utilizing allografts or remote autografts are limited because they often necessitate extensive debridement of the existing labrum to prepare a site for graft implantation, an approach that can damage and devascularize the chondrolabral junction.

Transplanted islet functional β-cell mass is measured by the β-cell secretory capacity derived from the acute insulin response to glucose-potentiated arginine (AIRpot), however, data are limited beyond one-year post-transplant for individuals with type 1 diabetes. We evaluated changes in β-cell secretory capacity in a single-center longitudinal analysis and examined relationships with measures of islet cell hormone metabolism and clinical measures of graft function (mixed-meal tolerance test [MMTT] C-peptide, BETA-2 score, and continuous glucose monitoring [CGM]). Eleven individuals received purified human pancreatic islets over one or two intra-portal infusions to achieve insulin-independence and were followed over a median (IQR) 6 (5-7) years.

Background: One of the key steps in arthroscopic Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction (ACLR) is getting the femoral tunnel at the right position to attach the graft. While the correct position has been described as a low and posterior position behind the bifurcate ridge on the medial surface of lateral femoral condyle, to reproducibly achieve it more than one technique is being used by surgeons. There are no randomized studies in literature which have evaluated the efficacy of these in a surgeon's hand.

The commercial importance of cephalopods has increased considerably, being an important fishing resource. However, during the preparation for commercialization of those species, they suffer the process known as "finning" which includes removing and separating the head, arm, skin or even having the body structure cut into rings, which ends up making it difficult or often prevents the identification of the species, which can lead to replacements. In this sense, the present study aimed to use the large ribosomal region, rrnL (16S rDNA) to genetically identify cephalopod species sold in markets and fairs in Latin America.
