Abstract: The series of new hydrazide derivatives were synthesized in reactions of N-substituted amidrazones with cyclic anhydrides as potential anti-inflammatory and antibacterial agents. The compounds were characterized by H-C two-dimensional NMR techniques, which revealed the presence of two tautomeric forms in DMSO- solutions, while the molecular structure of one species was confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The anti-inflammatory effects of hydrazides on peripheral blood mononuclear cells were experimentally evaluated. Three compounds showed antiproliferative activity comparable to ibuprofen. One derivative demonstrated strong reduction of lymphocyte proliferation stimulated by anti-CD3 antibody (by 90%) and PHA, as well as low cell toxicity. The obtained compounds exhibited relatively weak antibacterial activity; they were more effective against Gram-positive bacterial strains.

Injectable platelet-rich fibrin (i-PRF) is a novel platelet concentrate that has been employed in dentistry with the objective of promoting tissue regeneration and healing. In contrast to platelet-rich plasma (PRP), i-PRF is more straightforward to handle, more cost-effective, and free from anticoagulants, which reduces biochemical alterations. The i-PRF procedure was developed in 2014 by adjusting the centrifugation forces.

JOURNAL/nrgr/04.03/01300535-202511000-00034/figure1/v/2024-12-20T164640Z/r/image-tiff Previous studies have shown that the compound (E)-2-(3,4-dihydroxystyryl)-3-hydroxy-4H-pyran-4-one (D30), a pyromeconic acid derivative, possesses antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, inhibits amyloid-β aggregation, and alleviates scopolamine-induced cognitive impairment, similar to the phase III clinical drug resveratrol. In this study, we established a mouse model of Alzheimer's disease via intracerebroventricular injection of fibrillar amyloid-β to investigate the effect of D30 on fibrillar amyloid-β-induced neuropathology.

Background: Environmental pollution, including exposure to carbon tetrachloride (CCl4), poses serious health risks, particularly through oxidative stress, which may lead to neurodegenerative damage. Antioxidants, especially those found in natural products, show potential in mitigating these toxic effects. Pomegranate juice (PJ), rich in bioactive phytochemicals, has demonstrated antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective properties.

Objective: To use pharmacodynamics, molecular biology studies, network pharmacology, and molecular docking to study the mechanism of action of the Ligusticum wallichii (known as Chuanxiong in China, CX) and borneol (known as Bingpian in China, BP) medication pair (CXBP) for the treatment of ischemic stroke.
Methods: The TCMSP, ETCM, and SymMap databases provided the effective chemical components and targets of CXBP, while the databases OMIM, GeneCards, TTD, Pubmed, Web of Science, CNKI, Wanfang Data, and VIP Database provided targets relevant to ischemic stroke. In addition we conducted animal experiments for validation.
