Recently there has been renewed interest in primary repair of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). Repair of the acute proximal ruptured ACL can be achieved with the independent suture tape reinforcement ACL repair technique. The independent suture tape reinforcement technique reinforces the ligament as a secondary stabilizer, encouraging natural healing of the ligament by protecting it during the healing phase and supporting early mobilization. The purpose of this article is to describe, with video illustration, this ACL repair technique.

Background: Anastomotic leakage (AL) is a serious complication that may occur following the double stapling technique (DST). The study aims to investigate the efficacy of anastomotic reinforcement using barbed sutures in preventing AL after laparoscopic low anterior resection (LAR) for rectal cancer.
Methods: During the period from November 1, 2018 to November 1, 2023, a total of 725 consecutive patients who had underwent laparoscopic LAR for rectal cancer were enrolled in this study.

The purpose of this case report is to examine the management of vestibular bone fenestration during alveolar socket preservation using the Periosteal Inhibition (PI) approach. Here, for the first time, the PI technique, which has been shown to be successful in maintaining intact cortical bone, is examined in the context of a bone defect. : After an atraumatic extraction of a damaged tooth, a vestibular bone fenestration was discovered in the 62-year-old male patient.

Medial capsulorrhaphy is an important step in hallux valgus correction surgery; however, studies on this technique are limited. This study aimed to evaluate the viability and efficacy of modified medial capsulorrhaphy using figure-of-eight sutures for hallux valgus compared to the conventional technique. Retrospective analysis was performed on patients with hallux valgus, comparing a group receiving standard longitudinal capsulorrhaphy (Group 1) and a group that underwent modified capsulorrhaphy using figure-of-eight sutures (Group 2).

Background: A lateral extra-articular tenodesis (LET) is increasingly being utilized to augment an anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction because it has been shown to reduce the risk of postreconstruction graft failure or recurrent rotatory instability. Various femoral fixation techniques are available, including the use of an interference screw, staple, or suture anchor.
Purpose: To determine and compare the biomechanical properties of an LET graft when using an interference screw, staple, or suture anchor for the femoral fixation for a modified Lemaire LET.

Background: Quadriceps tendon ruptures occur infrequently in the general population. Biomechanical data suggest advantages with the use of suture anchor fixation for major tendon repair. Clinical studies of quadriceps tendon repair have been limited to small case series.
