Objective: To investigate the absorption and distribution of nitrogen( N ), phosphorus( P) and potassium( K) in Atractylodes macrocephala by field experiment.

Methods: The samples of Atractylodes macrocephala were carried out in different growing periods, and the amount of dry matter and the contents of N,P and K in different parts of the plant were determined, respectively.

Results: The results showed that one-year-old Atractylodes macrocephala of budding stage and rhizome swelling stage were the key period of rapid nutrient absorption, and the absorbed nutrient element mainly allocated to the aerial part. For the two-year-old Atractylodes macrocephala, flowering stage was the key period of rapid nutrient absorption, and the absorbed nutrient element mainly allocated to the rhizome. The average N,P2O5 and K2O absorption per 100 kg rhizome product in two-year-old Atractylodes macrocephala were 2. 65,0. 91 and 2. 16 kg, respectively.

Conclusion: In addition to the appropriate base fertilizer, one-year-old Atractylodes macrocephala cultivation should pay attention to the topdressing during the budding stage and the rhizome swelling stage, while the two-year-old Atractylodes macrocephala cultivation should pay attention to the topdressing during the flowering stage.

(AMK) as an oriental medicine has been used in the treatment of threatened abortion. (AT-I) is one of the major bioactive components of AMK. This study aimed to investigate the effect of AT-I on the secretion of estradiol (E) and progesterone (P) in feline ovarian granulosa cells (FOGCs), which is necessary for pregnancy.

Background And Purpose: Ulcerative colitis (UC) is an idiopathic inflammatory bowel disease, and the range of current clinical treatments is not ideal. We previously found that polysaccharide of Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz (PAMK) is beneficial in DSS-induced colitis, and we aimed to investigate the underlying mechanisms in this study.

Experimental Approach: PAMK was used to treat DSS-induced colitis in mice, 16S rRNA sequencing analysis was used to detect changes in the intestinal microbiota, targeted metabolomics analysis was used to determine the content of tryptophan-metabolizing bacteria, and western blotting was used to determine aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) and pregnane X receptor (PXR) levels.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of the in-ovo injection of Yu Ping Feng polysaccharides (YPF) on the immunological development, hatchability, growth performance, intestinal tissue development, intestinal IgA cell distribution, and intestinal secretory IgA (SIgA) production in broiler chicken. Herein, 800 chicken embryos were randomly divided into Astragalus polysaccharide (APS), Atractylodes macrocephala polysaccharide (ATR), YPF, and normal saline (control) injection groups-polysaccharide injection, 0.5 mL of 4 mg/mL polysaccharide; normal saline injection, 0.

Objectives: Long-term Western diet-induced non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) can lead to liver cirrhosis and NASH-associated hepatocellular carcinoma, which are end-stage liver diseases. Meanwhile, NASH is associated with mental burden and worsens as the disease progresses. Atractylodes Macrocephala Koidz (AMK) is one of the main ingredients of Shenling Baizhu San, and the effect of Polysaccharide from AMK ameliorates (PAMK), as an important medicinal ingredient of AMK, on NASH and associated anxiety/depression-like behaviors is still unclear.
