The status of the Second Law of Thermodynamics, even in the 21st century, is not as certain as when Arthur Eddington wrote about it a hundred years ago. It is not only about the truth of this law, but rather about its strict and exhaustive formulation. In the previous article, it was shown that two of the three most famous thermodynamic formulations of the Second Law of Thermodynamics are non-exhaustive.

Even in the absence of external stimuli, the brain is spontaneously active. Indeed, most cortical activity is internally generated by recurrence. Both theoretical and experimental studies suggest that chaotic dynamics characterize this spontaneous activity.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been one of the most significant public health events in human history. Domestic violence cases surged globally during the COVID-19 pandemic. In Taiwan, this trend was particularly evident, with a year-over-year increase in reported cases.

Glutamate (Glu) is a crucial excitatory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system that transmits brain information by activating excitatory receptors on neuronal membranes. Physiological studies have demonstrated that abnormal Glu metabolism in astrocytes is closely related to the pathogenesis of epilepsy. The astrocyte metabolism processes mainly involve the Glu uptake through astrocyte EAAT2, the Glu-glutamine (Gln) conversion, and the Glu release.

Identifying complex periodic windows surrounded by chaos in the two or higher dimensional parameter space of certain dynamical systems is a challenging task for time series analysis based on complex network approaches. This holds particularly true for the case of shrimp structures, where different bifurcations occur when crossing different domain boundaries. The corresponding dynamics often exhibit either period-doubling when crossing the inner boundaries or, respectively, intermittency for outer boundaries.
