New complex [Tb(2,2′-oba)2(phen)2]-(H+3O) (2,2′-oba=2,2′-oxybis(benzoic acid), phen=1,10-phenanthroline) was synthesized under hydrothermal condition and characterized with X-ray single crystal diffraction. Complex reveals mononuclear structure containing TbO4N4 unit. Complex displays the emission peaks at 489,546,584 and 622 nm, corresponding to the 5D4→7FJ(J=6-3) transitions of Tb(Ⅲ) ion. The emission band at 546 nm corresponds to the 5D4→7F5 transition of the Tb(Ⅲ) ion, which gives an intense green luminescence output for the solid sample. The recognition for metal ions was discussed with fluorescent spectroscopy. The results show that it has high selectivity for Fe3+ via a fluorescence quenching mechanism. Luminescent investigations reveal that it can detect Fe3+ with relatively high sensitivity and selectivity, even when pH 4.0~8.0,which leads to its application in biotic and environmental system.

Globally, drug-impaired driving fatalities now exceed those from drunk driving, urging the need for on-site and roadside detection methods. In this study, a photothermal desorption and reagent-assisted low-temperature plasma ionization miniature ion trap mass spectrometer (PDRA-LTP-ITMS) was developed for on-site detection of drug-impaired driving. The pseudomultiple reaction monitoring (MRM) in PDRA-LTP-ITMS enables continuous ion selection during ion introduction and improved sensitivity to nearly 3-fold compared with the conventional full scan mode.

Metal ions are indispensable to life, as they can serve as essential enzyme cofactors to drive fundamental biochemical reactions, yet paradoxically, excess is highly toxic. Higher-order cells have evolved functionally distinct organelles that separate and coordinate sophisticated biochemical processes to maintain cellular homeostasis upon metal ion stimuli. Nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain (NOD)-, leucine-rich repeat (LRR)-, and pyrin domain (PYD)-containing protein 3 (NLRP3) form an inflammasome by assembling with apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a CARD (ASC) and procaspase-1 that plays a pivotal role in various neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson diseases. We designed native peptides derived from the PYDs of NLRP3 and ASC based on their interfacial interaction to inhibit NLRP3 inflammasome formation. Screening revealed that , derived from NLRP3, inhibits inflammasome activation.

Objective: To study the effect of Dapagliflozin on ferroptosis in rabbits with chronic heart failure and to reveal its possible mechanism.
Methods: Nine healthy adult male New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into Sham group (only thorax opening was performed in Sham group, no ascending aorta circumferential ligation was performed), Heart failure group (HF group, ascending aorta circumferential ligation was performed in HF group to establish the animal model of heart failure), and Dapagliflozin group (DAPA group, after the rabbit chronic heart failure model was successfully made in DAPA group). Dapagliflozin was given by force-feeding method.
