We report a novel and inexpensive fabrication process of multiferroic nanocomposite via liquid phase using an anodic alumina template. The sol-gel spin-coating technique was used to coat the template with ferrimagnetic CoFeO. By dissolving the template with NaOH aqueous solution, a unique nanotube array structure of CoFeO was obtained. The CoFeO nanotube arrays were filled with, and sandwiched in, ferroelectric BaTiO layers by a sol-gel spin-coating method to obtain the composite. Its multiferroicity was confirmed by measuring the magnetic and dielectric hysteresis loops.

Multifunctional vertically aligned nanocomposite (VAN) thin films exhibit considerable potential in diverse fields. Here, a BaTiO-FeCoNi alloy (BTO-FCN) system featuring an ultrathin ternary FCN alloy nanopillar array embedded in the BTO matrix has been developed with tailorable nanopillar size and interpillar distance. The magnetic alloy nanopillars combined with a ferroelectric oxide matrix present intriguing multifunctionality and coupling properties.

Vertically aligned self-assembled nanocomposite films have provided a unique platform to study magnetoelectric effects and other forms of coupling between complex oxides. However, the distribution in the locations and sizes of the phase-separated nanostructures limits their utility. In this work, we demonstrate a process to template the locations of the self-assembled structure using ion lithography, which is effective for general insulating substrates.

Nanocomposite films of BiFeO-BiFeO were fabricated on a sapphire substrate AlO using the method of gas discharge high-frequency cathodic sputtering of a ceramic target with a stoichiometric composition in an oxygen atmosphere. The results of the film analysis using X-ray structural analysis, Raman scattering, XPS, and atomic force microscopy are presented. The lattice parameters, surface topography, chemical composition of the films, concentration, and average sizes of the crystallites for each phase were determined.

In this paper, we report on the synthesis of a new hybrid photocatalytic material activated by natural sunlight irradiation. The material consists of multiferroic nanoparticles of bismuth ferrite (BFO) modified through the growth of the Fe-based MIL-101 framework. Material characterization, conducted using various techniques (X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, FTIR, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopies), confirmed the growth of the MIL-101 metal-organic framework on the BFO surface.
