In the evolving molecular landscape of metastatic colorectal cancer, optimizing available tools to select patients to receive anti-epidermal growth factor receptor (anti-EGFR) monoclonal antibodies is a modern challenge of colorectal oncologists. Several molecular biomarkers have been investigated in recent years as potential predictors of resistance to anti-EGFR agents in preclinical and clinical retrospective series. Nevertheless, none of them have been implemented in clinical practice due to the lack of a formal prospective demonstration. Here, we propose a literature review of molecular alterations associated with resistance to anti-EGFRs, underlining the reasons why their roadmap from laboratories to clinics was prematurely halted.
Background: Several methods for measuring IMR derived from angiography have been developed. AngioIMR is a novel method for the assessment of angiography-derived IMR with no requirement for a wire and hyperemia. The prognostic value of AngioIMR is unknown in STEMI patients.
Objective: This study aimed to explore the role of the waist-to-height ratio (WHtR) in assessing insulin resistance (IR) in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

Shallow lakes, including those located at the border between Europe and Asia (Kazakhstan), have become very prone to increasing salinity because of climate change. Most of the study area is in one of the fastest-warming parts of the globe. Our research, conducted in four lakes varying in water salinity level and located in western Kazakhstan in the steppe, semi-desert, and desert zones, can be used to predict biodiversity as indicators of the natural potential of ecosystems.
